01 — MY STORY

Hi, I’m Rio!

From dreaming of becoming a tour guide to discovering what I truly wanted to do.

Ever since I was little, I dreamed of becoming a tour guide who could share Japan’s history and culture with people from all over the world in English.

I kept studying English because I wanted to make that dream come true.

But when it was finally time to take my first step, I hesitated.

I kept telling myself, “I need to learn more about Japan,” and “I need to be able to explain every historical site and tourist attraction.”

Looking back, I think I was simply afraid of making mistakes.

So instead of immediately becoming a tour guide, I started sharing the things I love about Japan on Instagram.

At first, I had very few followers, and hardly anyone watched my videos.

Then one day, I received a comment from someone on the other side of the world, in Argentina.

That was how I met Paula, who would later become my very first guest.

She continued commenting on my videos, giving me advice, and encouraging me from far away.

I still remember how amazing it felt to connect with someone I had never met, living on the other side of the planet.

And when she finally visited Japan, she really did become my first guest!

We ate together, walked around the city, and talked about the differences between life in Japan and Argentina.

We shared stories about our cultures, experiences, and ways of thinking.

That day became one of my most unforgettable memories.

And it was also the day I realized what I truly wanted to do.

What I wanted wasn’t simply to explain the history of famous sightseeing spots.

I wanted to meet people from all around the world, spend time together like friends, and discover each other’s cultures and perspectives.

Eating at the same restaurants Japanese people actually visit. Shopping together. Chatting about everyday life.

I wanted to share those ordinary but special moments of life in Japan.

And that’s how Private Osaka Experience was born.

02 — MY DREAM

My Dream.

To make friends all over the world and someday visit them in their home countries.

I love meeting people from different countries and discovering cultures, perspectives, and values that are different from my own.

Even when two people experience the same thing, they may see it completely differently depending on how and where they grew up.

Every conversation gives me a new perspective and makes me question things I used to take for granted.

I truly believe those experiences make life richer.

And little by little, my dream is starting to come true.

Through this journey, I’ve already made wonderful friends from around the world.

We talk about everyday life, teach each other about our cultures, and sometimes even encourage one another when things get difficult.

Even if we speak different languages or grow up in completely different places, I believe we can become friends when we genuinely try to understand one another.

That’s something I truly believe in.

I hope to keep meeting wonderful people through these experiences.

And I hope I get to meet you someday, too!

How Is the Group Experience Different?

Some smaller restaurants and local spots cannot accommodate groups of 5–10 guests.

Larger groups may also need more time for transportation, ordering food, and moving between activities. This can limit how many places we visit.

I’ll help you create a realistic, enjoyable plan so everyone in your group can have a great time.
